Domeniul de Poveste Lidana is a tourist complex at Vama, in Suceava county, southern Bucovina, northern Romania, with 25 units of accommodation in three villas, a spa centre, a leisure centre, a restaurant serving traditional Bucovina cuisine and a wooden pavilion for outdoor events. Until 2026 it was called Pensiunea Lidana, and that name still holds good — it is the same property, the same people and the same address.
Where exactly we are
Vama is a village in Suceava county, in southern Bucovina, in the valley of the river Moldova, on the DN17 (E58) road, between Gura Humorului and Câmpulung Moldovenesc. It has nothing to do with Vama Buzăului, in Brașov county — people confuse the two on the phone all the time.
The estate is at Strada Sălătruc nr. 1, built into the hillside, with the fir forest behind it and the river valley in front. The villas climb the slope, so most of the rooms look out either over the forest or over the valley. That position also explains why there are three separate accommodation buildings rather than one block: the ground is terraced.
In practical terms it means you are halfway between the painted monasteries on the UNESCO World Heritage list and the Rarău–Giumalău mountains, with direct access to the main road but without the noise of it in the yard.
Why “Domeniul de Poveste” since 2026
That is why we chose to become Domeniul de Poveste Lidana: a name that accurately reflects a spacious estate with three accommodation villas, a full spa centre, a leisure centre with bowling and games, a restaurant, a pavilion, and a sports pitch.
The old name is not going away. “Pensiunea Lidana” and “Complexul Turistic Lidana” remain official alternative names, because that is what people search for, and because many of our returning guests know us that way. If you searched for “Pensiunea Lidana Vama”, you have arrived in exactly the right place.

How we work with our guests
Bookings are taken by telephone only, daily during reception hours. We have no online booking engine; a 50% advance deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Payment is in lei, in cash, by bank card or with Romanian holiday vouchers.
Room rates include full access to the spa centre, the WiFi and the car park. Breakfast is charged separately. Guests staying here pay half of any leisure centre price; the outdoor hot tub is paid for separately, by everyone.
We cannot accept pets in any of the accommodation units. There is no smoking in the buildings. The full house rules are available in the footer of every page.
