Cookie policy

In short

The site loads no third-party service and no non-essential cookie before you have made your choice. We do not advertise, we do not profile and we do not track what you do on other sites.

The three cookies below are set by our own site and are strictly necessary: without them the contact form cannot be protected against abuse, and your choice about cookies cannot be remembered. They do not require consent, but you have a right to know they exist.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file saved by your browser on your device when you visit a website. On later visits the browser sends it back, and the site recognises the session. A cookie is passive: it contains no programs, does not run and cannot read the files on your device.

A session cookie disappears when you close the browser. A persistent cookie stays until it expires or until you delete it. A cookie is “first-party” if it is set by the site you are visiting and “third-party” if it is set by another domain, through content embedded in the page.

None of these cookies contains your name, and none of them is read by another domain.

The optional categories

• Analytics — not currently used. If we do measure traffic, we will do it with a cookie-free solution that uses no persistent identifier, and the category will still remain optional.
• Functional — one single use: the Google map on the contact page. The map does not load automatically. A button appears, and cookies from the google.com and gstatic.com domains are set only after you press it, which is to say after you have agreed.
• Marketing — not used. We have no advertising pixels, no remarketing and we share no data with ad networks.

The Google map

The map is provided by Google. The moment you choose to load it, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address and information about your browser, and may set their own cookies. Processing from that point on is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

If you would rather that did not happen, do not press the button: the address of the property is written out in text on the contact page and in the footer of every page, and the navigation link opens directly in your own maps app.

How to withdraw your consent

In the footer of every page there is a “Cookie settings” link. You can open it at any time, tick or untick the categories and save again. Withdrawal takes effect immediately, and third-party services no longer load on the next page load.

Your choice is kept for 6 months; after that we ask you again. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of loads made while the consent was valid.

Deleting cookies in your browser

Independently of our settings, you can block or delete cookies in your browser. The options are in the browser’s settings or privacy menu, where you can choose to reject third-party cookies, to delete them when you close the window, or to accept them only for particular sites.

If you block the strictly necessary cookies, the site remains readable, but the contact form can no longer be sent and the consent banner will reappear on every visit. You can call us at any time, using the details in the page footer.

Updates and personal data

If we add or remove a cookie, we update the table above and the date at the top of the page. Where the change concerns an optional category, we ask for your agreement again.
